is feckin amazing.

always loved his sets at events when i was younger but aint seen him in ages, downloaded a set the other day and has been on non stop.

sent this to paul doc the other day so is a few days left on link, is amazing cant say how much i like it.

cheesy gabber at it's best, smurf put it up himself on another forum so thought i'd share it with you's.

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=A64DC6C1194B1976

i've posted this quote before but makes me laugh so much would loved to have been there for it

quote:
from smurf interview on scottishhardcore.co.uk:
Half way through a hard set I played 'Freedom' by QFX. The hard ends looked puzzled, and the cheesers got up to dance. I pulled the needle across the record, snapped the record, took off my T-shirt to reavel another T-shirt saying 'QFX are ****in shite'. The whole place went bezerk, ha, was great. I got a phone call from QFXs manager a few weeks later going off it! hehe. I've met them since then, and there cool about it, nice lads & lassies!

proper geordie nutter gotta love his style.

anyway anyone interested in the bouncy nu style gabber from 98 onwards should grab this set, paved the way for todays nu style and tbh listening not a lots changed.

love it

hmmm duno what to think of that

the whole smurf thing goes on for far to long i reckon, i cant imagine a situation where you could play that track were you wouldnt feel ashamed

once it gets going though

is it suppose to end like that or has my comp buggered up, at like 5 minute in it jsut stops

is an hour and a half mate

pm me if got msn i'll send you full set if the link doesnt work

and about feeling ashamed, at least it's a blatant piss take instead of the shit hardcore thats just so bad it makes you laugh

you'll like it i reckon cunney lad, good hardcore with strong kicks not the machine gun speedcore style.

and aye knightmare he's wkd at harder stuff, i've got a good few speedcore tracks but mixing them jus confuses me

Aye Smurfy is an ace DJ by the way!

He used to come and stay at our house whenever he was playing in Scotland.
He's got some hefty tunes in this mix like.

Cheers for the link!

Yeah, sure I seen him a few months ago (think it was Room at the Top). Really heavy towards the end of his set, and I was coming down.
Will give the mix a proper listen to tomorrow.
Cheers.

Don't think I'll be at the coloursfest like Chris, but we've got a pretty big party running in the lothian region on the 3rd-4th June. Not allowed to say the location. As it's illegal. It's not too bad tho cos its on private land just can't say were. Believe it or not the cops actually bust free-parties by checking things up on forums!
Mainly going to be Hardcore/Hardtek (Deathchant, Audiogenic, Headfuk, Infrabass, etc) a bit of techno (the harder variety) and a dub/reggae rig :)

FUN IN THE SUN!!!

Gotta love the Smurfcore!!!

Smurf is one of the soundest, most outrageous blokes I've met out and about, and how can ya not love anyone who mixes up 300bpm speedcore with Kylie Minogue? haha

U can check out his latest interview at
