I do this dance thing at my high school here in Nashville (very small scale).
At any rate, we play mostly hardcore at the dance. The last one we did in March had a huge turn out, it was very surprising. We have a 300 person high school and about 100 or so people turned out.
Also, a disclaimer, we did play Sandstorm as they all were requesting it, and yes. I hate Sandstorm, but many like it.
So, we video taped the last one to say farewell to DJ QuikSilver, who was DJ'ing with me.
This little 16 min video is something I'd like to share.
Video of T-Delta, right click save as
Please no negative comments, I know its bad, but I think some people may enjoy the spirit of it.
Oh, and its a .m4v file. (90 MB) If you don't know .m4v it plays in iTunes and on your video iPod if you have it. You should also be able to open it with VLC.

gosh, leto, thats a great video!
Or maybe I'm biased because I made it.... :) (don't worry, he has my permission to post it)
Anyways, as a side note to all you forum-goers, I realize that the songs are badly... mixed? Yeah, that's the one. All I can say in my own defense is that this was not made to show off mixing (its a graduation present for QuikSilver), nor does the program I use really do this "mixing" thing very well... i mean, its a video-editing program. Secondly, as for the song choices, I have my own music tastes that don't typically revolve around those that this website is based upon, so... don't get on my case for that.
And with that in mind, knock yourselves out.

Stop talking to me like you don't know me, silly boy. :) I know these people are friendly, I just don't want to get chastized for not really including much hardcore on a forum that celebrates the genre.
oh... and um... ignore my mediocre poi skills, thanks :P

Well I managed to watch it and thought it was pretty cool, even though I've never been to a rave or anything like that, just a club. To be honest its stuff like this that makes me want to learn how to DJ. I found it funny when Mortal Kombat techno tune was dropped in and the reactions and dance moves of the crowd
When, or if, I graduate from uni and get a decent job, I'm just going to blow my money on the best CDJs and mixer available, but thats a while off
