Jamaica played quite strong for the first five minutes then they went downhill. They've got some dirty bastards in their side aswell. Crouch has already rinsed that robot dance too much already and I can't believe that lanky prick missed that penalty.

Probably because he would have got a hat-trick if he scored it, but he stupidly missed it. His third goal was a beauty though. Definately made up for the penalty miss.

personally tho..i still dont think he's good enuff for england
Really? I used to think that until recently. His confidence has grow immensely and he looks like completely different player.
(But if he does that robot dance during the World Cup he has to be dropped!).

He had a good game but still no more than sub material IMO. He won't get a fraction of the space he had today when we come up against much better teams in Germany. He'd do well against Trinidad & Tobago, reasonable v Paraguay, but no chance v Sweden!
As for the best formation? Still undecided!

Crouch has performed well these past few games, doing what strikers ar meant to do, score! Unlucky that he missed that penalty, he choked and understandably so. Walcott should have had a run out today anyway. Just what England needed, a bit of confidence.

thing is though they had the same confidence going into Euro 2004 (England 6 Iceland 1) and look what happened then! these friendlies mean f**k all and I can't see Crouch doing it in the world cup! hes just not good enough! If england had Owen 100% fit they would have a cracking chance but he isn't and they won't win it!

I wouldn't look into the penalty too much, he was just taking the piss trying to do a little chip because he knew the goal keeper would dive but over cooked it, I'm sure he wouldn't try that during the world cup... Played alot better recently but aswell as him I think Defoe will be very useful...

all i have to say on the matter is that confidence is one thing but show boating and and being OVER confident are quite another. unfortunately this seems to be a bit of a trend for the England team.
It always looks like if we score the first goal, we get cocky then screw everything up with our head in the clouds over one goal ten minutes in. not wise.
If our boys keep their feet on the ground whether they are doing well or not, we have a fairly solid team so should at least be a formidable opponent for most other teams we come up against.
Good luck boys, and please don't let a lead go to your head, oh and yea, someone please show Groin some new dance moves. Get Lua Lua to train him there! he goes mental with his celebrations!
