Thats the difference between being a Dj and being a "raver". You have the anthems, you've heard them all before, new tracks sound like old ones with the same riffs etc, you can appreciate a good raverbaby song but by the time you get it you dont want to play it, cause your sick of it and you think that know one else want to aswell. So your always looking for fresh tracks and idea's to stimulate yourself, searching the net, forums recordshop etc.
Where as "ravers" don't know all the songs, know some but haven't heard them as much as you, so they don't get sick of them and can appreciate them the same way you do when you heard a good tune for the first time.
And thats why as a dj everytime Sharkey & KE come to Brisbane i'm there at the front enjoying all the fresh stuff. EG. The first time i heard Phat As **** by Impact was at a rave and it was soooooo gooood. but now i hardly play it. And so the cycle continues...
Peace
