i love the gabber stuff on bonkers it kicks ass..mice to have such a wide variety of hardcore on it know anyway these are my fav gabber tracks

no genuine hardstyle tracks on bonkers but I class all harder UK tracks as Hardstyle not Gabber (thats just me) Me personally wouldn't class Punchdrunk as Gabber! but most people may do!

I may be wrong but isn't hardstyle quite a bit slower than hardcore and has not much really in common with it?

Stuff like punch drunk is just wet behind the ears Gabber. No sense in calling it hardstyle as it has a lot less in common with that...
I wouldn't say hardstyle has nothing in common with hardcore but it is slower yes and it's very different.
Sorry I know I'm a pedantic c*nt :P

I'd agree with that all the hardstyle vinyl i've got range from 140-150bpm none go above 150bpm where as the slowest hardcore vinyl i've got is probably 165bpm (most are faster still)
However hardstyle kicks ass, i love it!!!!!

well, hardcore is a bit slower than the standard gabbertracks, the kick&bass have been passed through a noizegate to create that typical annoying "whoomp!"-sound and most of the melodies sound like they're either stolen from oldskool gabber or hardtrance.
this is one of the reasons ppl often relate it to hardcore, another reason is that a lot of old hardcore producers have turned to hardstyle in holland and germany because there are bi bux to be made in that scene so the names at parties and on new releases add t the confusion.
