i have some good ideas in my head for remixes(or at least, i'd like to think so), however, i dont have the tools or even know where to start FOR remixing these certain tracks.

could someone tell me what i'd need? a good program to buy, possibly if i'd need like a midi keyboard or something?

again, i have NO idea where to start, and if someone could help me out by pointing me in the right direction, im just finding that lately spinning someone else's music is getting super boring, it's the same old tunes etc etc. and i'd like to try my hand at actually making something of my own.

thanks a bunch!!

I'm a fan of Reason myself, but there are a number of quality programs to choose from.
As far as Reason is concerned, I would highly suggest a MIDI controller.

How would you go about remixing vocals into reason?

I'm used to using it at college with cubase but at home i've only got reason, have to say i've been finding it limiting but i need to put in more hours

Sample the vocals from an outside source.

Yes. Record the voclas with a recording program like wavelab and add them to your track with the redrum in reason. That should do it.
