Once upon a time I came up with an idea, inspired by the Hullabaloo live boxed sets, and Frisky's Evolution of Sound tape pack. The idea was to do a seven mix set, covering every genre that I play (most of which are just different kinds of hardcore *LOL*), and one crazily insane mix of all of the above. It was going to be called 'The Cell Games'. Unfortunately the idea never really got off the ground, passed recording one mix, that later became Stimutacs. I later resurrected the idea, with a new name 'Advent Children', after the ****ing stellar Final Fantasy 7 movie, which everybody should go buy. I set to work planning and recording seven mixes.
Alas, it was once again not to be. Three mixes (plus re-mastering an old DnB mix I did for the son of one of my mom's co-workers) in to doing the set, my computer died on me. I lost everything. Mixes, programs, samples, all of it. Fortunately I had given the three newly recorded mixes to a couple people, and they were on my MP3 player, so all was not lost. Since I'm still in the process of re-installing my life, and rebuilding my collection of samples and mixes, I've decided to put up the three mixes I have completed. Three mixes is still pretty good, right?
So here, you go. Three mixes of musical mayhem (in one handy zip file), as I prsent to you

http://www.kooterkore.net/mixes/saiyan/adventchildren.zip (right click, save as) Disc 1: Civic Nation (Special Guest Mix by J.D. Sparks) - Newschool Euro *tracklist removed as per forum rules* When I started planning this thing I decided to ask my main man J.D. Sparks, the finest euro DJ in all of Woodbridge to lay down a special guest mix. Cause everybody likes euro right? This mix, in my opinion, is far better than my In Da Club mix. Give it a listen, you'll probably agree. =) Disc 2: Hard House Hoodlum - UK Hard House *tracklist removed as per forum rules* Ever since I started DJing I've always said I wanted to play UK hard house. I bought the odd record (and digital download) here and there, but ended up with the bulk of my collection when Subsonic Chronic made the decision to move out west, and cleared out a ton of his vinyl. So thanks Pete, I couldn't have done this without you. By the way, this mix led to Xofer and I forming a UK hard house tag team act called Face/Off. So promoter type people, you should really book us. ;) Disc 3: Hooligan of the Newschool - Newschool Hardcore *tracklist removed as per forum rules* This is probably the best mix I've ever done. It's the most technical, fast paced mix I've ever attempted. There's tons of quick mixing, and strange mixes that sound like I made a mistake, but really I didn't. Unfortunately there's also a few actual mistakes. I would have loved to re-do this mix properly to fix the few slips and the level issues that seem to be plaguing me as of late, but the belts on my decks (yes, I own belt drive turntables) I starting to go, and I'd really like to have working decks for awhile longer. So I'm going easy on them. That and the obvious my computer deciding to die on me. Mistakes or not, I hope you guys enjoy it. It's very cheeky. I was listening to a bunch of older No Left Turn mixes around the time I started planning this, so it's pretty influenced by that. (I recommend using a cock ring)
