just an idea but wouldn't it be nice if there was a Hardcore album released including every style of new hardcore releases! no DJ mixes (playing their style and label) just good tracks! like the NOW series does with chart music! think it would work but no chance of it happening, any thoughts?

I can't stand those albums. It gives people a reason to take advantage of music; taking a song that's best of an artist's and throwing the rest away.

Ha I don't know why you dropped NOW in there as an example really... A few mixes mashing up everything across the board would be great though.

Not necessary, there could a track by an artist that you've never heard of before, you really like the track and you look them, find they have an album and then you buy the album.
It's no different to albums like Bonkers or Hardcore Heaven. They're all just a selection of different artists.

True! Its probably albums like "now thats wot i call (gay) music" that artists get discovered. Im sure there are also cases where someone likes one particular track of an artist and not the rest so they just wait to get the next mixed artist album to come out.
But thats pop music mostly and everyone has heard of those artists. This is hardcore, and i think mixed artist albums help publicity.

the reason I posted this thread was not only for artists but styles aswell most young people on here will not listen to or be bothered with all hardcore styles, but on the this album which should be done, it would have everything! the NOW name is the biggest selling comp series ever thats why I used the name! but the hardcore album would have handbag to noise! if the tracks great its on doesn't matter what style or wot producer or DJ!

and let me guess...the cd would be in the 160 bpm range. I dont really like the idea myself, I like my cds mixed. But I would like to hear some mixing thats actually in the mix...like, instead of waiting till the end of each song to start the mix, i think it would be cool to hear an unharmonic mix, or trying to blend melodies together, or have the lyrics from both songs playing at the same time, just some wierd mixing styles. Its always mixing at the end of a song, and its usually just changing the beats.

th idea of a compilation with several different styles mixed by a few different djs, playing anything they think is good (not limiting themselves to their own labels) is good imo...
giving a broader spectrum of whats available in hardcore is never a bad thing

You obviously don't know me? If I had my way the CD would bu full of 210 bpm's upwards! but the idea of the album like I said before would have every style of hardcore on it, unmixed ( in other words the best tracks out at the mo) the name of the album could be anything (Hardcore Hits 2006, Now thats what I call Hardcore, Best of Hardcore) doesn't matter but I'm on about the concept of the album! like the NOW series does for chart music!

A Hardcore mash-up album would be good.
