IMO the guy obviously has no idea what music is... I would guess that he has gone through life listening to music that best helps him "fit in" and that he has no opinions or taste of his own regarding music :)
I have loads of mates your age and older who enjoy hardcore so don't fell your too old for it.

Aghhh don't listen to people who say stuff like that, I hate people who do that, stuck up, listen to opera, pop. they can't understand because they follow popularity instead of listening for themselves! Ignore them you listen to what you like because you like it, not because somebody says listen to this instead, ain't you too old, blah blah... Screw them!!!! not literally tho :/ Im with cooper top man :)

DMS is one old git, and he still loves the hardcore (of the music variety I'm led to believe) and let's face it he's one of the legends around these here parts. So screw age.
However having said that I do listen to all music from all genres and hardcore certainly isn't the pinnacle of sophisticated or complex music, but it can certainly be very enjoyable.

I'm 24 and have been listening to hardcore for approx 12 years and have no intention of stopping!
A good example of never being to old for hardcore is Tom Wilson (R.I.P) he was well into his fifties when he passed away but right up until then he was blasting hhc and oldskool!
If you like the music then so be it, i don't like any "normal music" all i listen to is various forms of dance music
Hardcore
House
Trance
Hardstyle
Techno
Hiphop
There is just no way i could listen to the top 40, i mean coldplay, keane etc. imo all that kind of stuff is depressing so i think for all my life the only music i will listen to is going to be dance
To sum up if you like the music you are never to old!!

I am 18, been listening to Happy Hardcore for 4 years. Got made fun of all the time. Even though I am younger than you, my point is, listen to what makes you feel good...as long as it isnt Kidz Bop...or little children's music....then I would say you are too old for that, lol, but I got a friend thats 40...she still dresses candy...wears her bracelets up to her shoulders...dyes her hair hot pink...and loves her Happy Hardcore! And my raving buddy, he is 27, still wears his candy, and loves his Happy Hardcore, but only the old skool. So see...you're not alone! lol.

i've just entered my 40's with what feels like break neck speed!! i'm involved in hardcore in a creative capacity. stu allen is mid-40's but as focussed as ever. he's an inspiration i feel. shame on anyone who 'falls in line' because of age. i will be took screaming and shouting from hardcore and demanding to grow old disgracefully!! and if i wanna break a 'hip' at an event once in a while i will he! he!. age is a number not a restriction.

I made a post exactly the same as this a few years back. I still love hardcore music, I don't care how old I am I'm going to listen to it until I get bored of it.
Who cares if others think your too old to be listening to hardcore, as long as you like it then it's fine. Each to their own and all that.
