cheerz for that mate! i think the important thing about open forums is that they're 'open' and not just for what particular people what to hear. it's how we learn. it would be a contradiction in terms otherwise! it's not a moan just an observation!

Scouse house is more stompy/bouncy than hardcore.

In general? No.
Cheesy/trancy stuff - the only difference is the BPM

scouse just seems to have a similar urgency about it maybe. don't know whether anyone's familiar to gi gi agostini's 'fly to you' a while back (an operatic type male vocal is how i'd describe it) a favourite of scouse producers. one of my fave scouse anthems. i'm sure there was a hardcore mix knocking about

i know it's to do with funds etc but AATW market their clubland xtreme series more vigourisly, hence always getting them to the top of the comp charts. when i listen though, i feel they try and have a finger in each pie (dance/hardcore.) the nations, heavens etc always hardcore faithful

Scouse house probably uses more donk than hard house these days, anyway, although Re-Con and the like are leaning towards donkish basslines they are no where near as bad as a real donk, listened to some scouse the other night and realised how lightly we are actually getting off
