Why'd you want jocks asses kicked? Thats not cool.
I, as a Celtic fan, am particularly pleased with our group. I wanted a couple of beatable teams and a solid british team so I got my wish, looks good for Celtic taking 2nd and making it through to the next stage but we'll wait and see, dont want to get too ahead of myself.
I bloody love Champions League football though, its awesome when your teams in it.

To be fair mate its worse the other way around by far.
I'm born in salford but grew up around glasgow and thats where i feel is home even though i now live down south again.
I do support england and always have through my family and whatever, but most people round here see me as "scottish chris" so obv assume i'm tartan army.
Anytime scotland play more people will say good luck than anything else, i've watched scotland games in pubs down here and people are even "slightly" cheerin them on.
Apart from some of the rangers pubs i dont see that happenin for england anywhere in scotland, people hate england for stupid reasons. I'm not a cry baby and i take it on the chin, very few people are seriously hostile and at the end of the day its jokes.
But in this world cup just gone hearing a lot of scottish folk goin out there way to support any of englands opponents just seems sad.
I'd understand if it was like the old firm and we give as good as we get, but seriously the vast majority of folks down here dont care or as i said wish scotland luck.

Catholic players cross themself all over the world for good luck, as the article says its a bit sad it gets seen as an offence and thats comin from a gers boy.
I never actually saw the incident but if he didnt direct it right at the crowd or in an offensive way it's a bit over the top.

Well said :)
As a utd fan, i'm vey happy with our group. The biggest challenge i feel will be Benfica away, they are a confident side at home. But hopefully Celtic will beat them to second place in the group.

Think its one of the few things we havn't got in common Chris! My family is from Donegal so its Celtic for me in Scotland! But the football religious thing in Glasgow is far worse than Ireland! its really extreme!

Northern Ireland's worse surely.
My fiance is from a small villiage called Garvagh and if any of her family knew I was a Celtic fan I'd get my ass-kicked and be totally disowned.....whereas I told my dad that my fiance's family are all rangers fans and what does he do?......*shrug* "****in hun".
Dads rule.

Aye the whole religion thing jus pisses me off, especially the violence and killings.
Dont really wanna go into a rant cos i'll be here all day, but it's very complicated.
Peoples communities get attacked and they want to fight back, on both sides.
Its easy for me to say its a lotta shit cos im not directly effected, if i'd lost friends or family i'm sure i'd think different.
It goes quieter for a bit then kicks off again but i dunno if it'll ever totally end.
I just love my team, i like bein brittish and i also like the rivalry with celtic. Just wish the whole religious thing didnt cause any deaths or people beaten up just for there team, religion or place they live.
