newb producer seeking critics to listen to his work...

i have 3 tracks/samples up at my myspace page.

http://www.myspace.com/zerophonic

The main track is my take on the classic melody made famous by Robert Miles.

Anyways...take a listen when you have the time and let me know what you think!

Thanks

Ok, newb. Listen up:

Great work Reccomendation: you seem to rock that piano pretty hard. THE BIGGEST THING that I start to get bugged about in these tracks is the cheap piano VST/Soundfont/Whatev. Please get a professional VST/Soundfont/Whatev or a dedicated unit for piano! I love Nord, they have some great electronic pianos. Then your songs will EXPLODE with energy and vibes!

Your best song by far is "Keep it Going." Love that Makina-style! But where is the BASSDRUM! Bring that up like 6db! Also, that song has so much potential for energy, but its REALLY lacking when it comes to execution!

And, what do you use to produce?

Thanks for the input man :)

Right now I'm using a Roland MC-909 unit to lay down my tracks. You aren't the first to comment on the weak kick drum. But when I try to tweak it on the 909, it starts to clip like crazy and really hurts the rest of the track. I've gotten recommendations to record my track into some type of audio editing program without the kick, then record the kick independently so I can boost it up there.
