i was just wondering if any of you lot read your horoscopes in newpapers/magazines? if so has anything that it said ever happened?
i'm asking this because latley i've been reading mine alot lately (in different newspapers) and i've noticed that whatever it says it happens in some sort of way. an example of this was last saturday, i read my horoscope and it said something along the lines of meeting someone i haven't seen in a long time. later that night i met this girl that i haven't seen since i was in primary school.
coincidence or fate? you decide.

random chance, uve been reading them alot lately u say...
and low and behold 1 time out of hundreds, something matches! also if u count the fact that there are probably millions of ppl reading horroscopes every week, then ur just "lucky" this time that something happend as predicted - because it definatly wont be the same the all of the ppl with the same star sign as u.
i could sit here saying "your going to meet a new love interest" once a week every week and give it a few month, darn it, well look at that! i was right!
lol
its all a farse, ppl only read them because it makes them feel like something else might be in controll of the world/universe/there lives generally there would be 2 ways ppl will interpret them, passivly or activly,
passive is "it says this is going to happen, im gonna do nothing and just wait for it" and those with more active inclinations will think "it says its going to happen, so i feel more confident to go and do something about it" - wich isnt a bad thing!
the ppl that wright them always include something for both types of ppl, always something advice-like(go and do), and something predictive(sit and watch)
the reason they still have hororscopes in magazines is because they get more readers, same thing with websites / any other media. its all money orientated.
ppl do follow patterns and are predictable, with the right subtle influences u can get whole crowds following a load of total nonsense..its the same with marketing and advertising ect ect.
there is no such thing as fate, if something seems like its ment to be, then it just means its working really well, so it would be a good idea to stick with it and see how it goes.
ppl do actually have total controll over their own actions lol

Everything in the Universe is connected to everything else,
from the largest Galaxies, to atoms, to the smallest sub-atomic particles.
An action somewhere will have a reaction somewhere else.
For example, the orbit of our Moon affects the tides.
Humans are made from the material of the Universe and are therefore subject to it's influences.
....so, Horoscopes attempt to analyse these influences and predict the results.
A general horoscope in a magazine however can be only that, general, a vague guide that's of little accuracy or of little or no consequence....
....it doesn't mean however that there's absolutely nothing to it.

This is how I think about horoscopes. The world's population is currently approx. 6,500,000,000 and you only have 12 star signs, so that's about 500 million people to each star sign.
Can the same thing really happen to 500 million people?
I think they're are just cleverly written so they can be applied to many different situations, and most people do have a similar daily lives. So as humans we're pretty predictable.

Well theres much more to astrology than the 12 signs, its what time of day u were born, where etc.

....no, that was straight off the top of my head.
(the clever bit was to simplify it)
and Fishy knows the score.
For it to be done properly involves a great deal of information so,
what you get in a magazine etc ain't worth sh**.

its still a load of made up tosh if u were to ask me, no matter how much "information" they use.
to put it simply, they do it by the time of day, what day, what month, what year. - there isnt going to be a garantee that that information alone will be 100% unique to a person, so they add a little more parents DOB + location.
basicly this is a 100% unique factor per person. but simply, its just when, where and who ur parents are... they might well use more information, but thats just to add to the deception.
its like me saying, tell me ur national insurance number and er, what car u drive, i'll tell u ur future. kinda stupid really.
in the end its just what u believe, if it helps u feel better and more able to do stuff, then its not a bad thing.
