An eclectic magpie hybrid dance music genre.
With repeating motives such as uplifting or meloncolic
vocals male or predominately female. piano breaks which are
predominately blues speeded up to matching the breakbeat or techno
drum.
Happy hardcore draws from all types of other music, not only dance,
then matches it to its music style. The music is heavily influenced by
samples but also contains very original work in its own form.
It holds also nostalgic overtones with classic Rave, Hardcore and dance
tunes being remixed in a variety of updated styles.
Happy Hardcore originated out of the rave scene which in turn originated
from the acid house scene of the late 1980s. The Rave scene gave birth to
many sub-genres of dance music such as Jungle, Techno, different types of
House, Trance, Garage and Happy Hardcore.
Unlike other genres, it is unable to boxed or stand still as it continually develops
and changes. Even its standard form is not fixed from being changed.
Inside Happy Hardcore, nothing and everything is holy. It ranges from the
Unspeakable to unbelivable. It is a modern music that adapts moves and grows.
Unlike most music styles that attempt to establish a sound that is fixed.
A certain sound such as Techno beats, piano, trance may dominate its nature
for a while but sooner or later the sound and music evolves into some new.
Happy hardcore continually develops. In a sense it continues to give birth to its
new self, much like a russian doll or a tardis is probably more appropriate.
Many cynics believed it to be only a flash in the pan, it has been criticised for being cheesy in some cases, however from a scene and birth where it was always on the verge of supposedly dieing, Happy Hardcore is only capable of living as a music form.

Have I missed anything?

If anyone has ever seen the Billboard Music Styles & Genres book, it has a few pages dedicated to hardcore in it, kind of amusing!
