Deleting corrupt files - Access Denied!

You should defrag your HD at least every month, it gives more lifetime for the disk. I have been usin it for years, never had a problem. Dont know about in your case though, since its already ****ed. But doubt it will fix any problems either, just makes the life easier for the HD.

I once had a similar problem, which was caused by me creating, copying, merging and resizing partitions. It didnt like it too much.

Now that were talking about HD's can someone tell me why the **** my computers file system is FAT32? Its a new computer, and i've always thought it should be NTFS when using XP...

Or you could use a better filesystem

For example, reiserfs and ext3fs don't need to defrag... ever... at all

Linux! On with the revolution!

The only problem i have with Linux is, that it wouldnt support all the programs i need.

You should really defrag everytime you delete or uninstall something after check that all elements of the files or progarm has been removed.

I do mine once a week. Which is enough really. You should use a driver cleaner as well as defraging.
