RAVE = Jungle, Dnb, Hardcore! - FACT!

mabie becuse hardcore evoled into a 4/4 in the mid 90's!
but it was still sampled with the amen break when i was created!

*cough* Sorry, who was talking rubbish again?

Seriously, know when to shut up.

So no house, electro or any other genre in rave music?

Rave is a general name give to music that was played in the pre 94ish rave scene.

It doesnt need a breakbeat especially an amen break for it to be classed as rave music.

No idea what you ment here but ill have a stab at it anyway

Hardcore didnt evolve into 4/4 in the mid 90's nearly all dance music has been 4/4 since way before the mid 90's. A breakbeat track is still nearly always 4/4.

If you ment that hardcore evolved following the dutch scene where the kick drum led the way, during the mid 90's you would right.

This thread has gone of topic enough.

Nate good mix mate.

Almost ALL music is structure 4 beats to a step (Well almost all music)... not just dance, thats common sense! Sorry for the confusion i guess! but when i say 4/4 i mean - "4 by 4" asin "4 to the floor" asin "the 4 by 4 beat"

Asin yes... hardcore dance taking on the 4/4!

And yes, I do stand corrected *puts hand up*... i remember the whole acid house scene ect (funny, i already knew that but still made myself look a dumass!)

One more thing... House... Electro... Rave? huh?
Excuse me... if you on about acid house then cool but... Disco House & Electro stuff was in the charts in the 80's? Way before the rave scene exploded in the UK...

Disco or Anthem House is NOT rave mate... I know that for a FACT! (Nor is Trance, if your thinking that too)

However, yes I'm mainly talking about hardcore rave!!!

From What I've herd... Even the old 4/4 tracks in the early 90's rave... had parts of the amen break in it, it was sliced and diced remember! its hard to explain, but the beat had more vairety! Most tracks had only a faint 4/4 beat, you couldn't really class them as 4 to the floor tracks...

In the early 90's... "rave music" you "swang to" (from side to side)
Modon hardcore, you stomp!

Anyways, meh, I'll never get my point across! I can't be arsed to explain, if your just gonna moan all the time instead of wanna learn from one another!
(wrong topic anyways)

Bk on Topic!

GREAT MIX MATE!!!!!!
Loving the intro too ... hahaha! FANTASTIC!

Wow... someones a hypocrit...

I'm talking about the UK scene "dumbass!"
Yes, the scene you keep moaning about lol

Dutch hardcore AT THAT TIME... To the UK was classed as techno mate
E.g. Happy Gabba = Bouncy Techno to the UK

After all, All expreimental genres that are "unknown" are always (for some stupid reason) classed as techno first

Evan hardcore breaks & the happy phase was, once upon a time!
One more thing... 160bpm 4/4 beats sampled over an amen break!
You call that a 4 to the floor... ???? I've herd the tracks your talking about, and there still breakbeat to me!

So I'm the dumass.... and your just plain ignorent! - Fair!

but anyways... enough of this crap... back on topic

Damned fine mix.

Thank you.

P.S. In all of the above squabbling nobody mentioned our old favorite, The Apache break.

eg:- http://www.riskindust.de/mainnavi3.html (three tracks from 1993/94)

Not E. Honda's, I'm thinking it was the ending on the hardest level (can't remember exact number, 8 I think). It was a pretty sad peice of music if I remember rightly.

The amen break is in there with a fait 4/4 beat over the top!

Not really "4 to the floor" is it! (stomping)... My body is still swinging to it
Plus the 4/4 isn't the main rythem, the amen is...

lol Stop with the digs lol its really immature, i admit i was wrong, but not with that example! lol

I don't think it's from beating it on a hard level, pretty sure it's one of the original 8 character ending songs...I remember it being before blanka's so I figured it was e. honda =P

Grow up. What are you, 12 years old?

Fighting over the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard.
