I bought Bonkers 16 not too long ago and have loved it every time I've played it. However, I never managed to listen to every track from start to finish until very recently. Now, I am mostly a happy hardcore, trancecore, melodic anythingcore kinda person, probably due to my first hardcore CD being Happy2bHardcore 6... Lately I have been getting more and more into harder hardcore. From what I can tell, melodic gabber is what I'm starting to like, but I'm not completely sure. I picked up a couple Masters of Hardcore CDs and really enjoyed some of the tracks, but others I didn't enjoy much for the lack of hook or melody. So, back to Bonker 16. I was listening to CD3, getting near the end, and really enjoying some of the harder stuff when I came to the very last track... **** The Rails. I didn't (and still don't) know exactly what to think of this song. It's comical for sure, but I'm hooked on it and it's not because of the comedy. There's something in the style, in the beat that my mind can't let go of. I don't know where to place this track. It's nearly like some sort of trancy/melodic Digital Hardcore (digital hardcore as in Atari Teenage Riot) track, but it almost seems like Digital Hardcore producers don't like to be considered melodic or trancy, and thus Digital Hardcore and Melodic are mutually exclusive. Phew... So my question is this: how would you place this track, and what other music do you know of that's like it? Needless to say, I want more of this.

Nice thread...ask Gammer what he thinks it is...cause he made it!

It's a whole lot of fun imo!

I agree. I could contact him directly but this style seems a little beyond his norm, that's why I'm hoping to get some feedback from the HH.com community. :3

Hence why Scott Brown recently came out with a track called The Call and it samples this call.
