Soon Hardcore DJs will stop spinning records at raves Friday nights and start singing live on Satuday morning TV shows now that they all sing over their tracks and have chart radio edits! Who will be the next DJ to become a pop start? It might not be too new but I don't want to hear the radio edit of Save Me on the radio at work each week!

He has been for a while now. Doesn't really bother me. Save Me is OK for what it is and he's entitled to do what ever he wants with his music. Good luck to him I say. I think it's great he's still making hardcore and hasn't just stopped to make commercial club tracks... He's a talented guy and could make a hell of a lot of money if he where to do that. Shows he's not just in it for the money IMO.

Not much i can add to that.
'Pop' versions of Hardcore tunes will do absolutely chuff all to harm Hardcore - people who aren't involved with the scene don't matter, so their opinions aren't important.
Also, the opinions of those who think that all Hardcore has to offer is the commercial side of things don't matter either.

Depends...He could still be in it solely for the money since 95% of his gigs are hardcore gigs (and gigs are what make him money) so he has to keep making hardcore.
His name is already made in this scene anyways...
But I'll assume it's not just for the money because he made so many sick tunes in his earlier days :P

& you think he couldn't get better money playing a more commercial dance music? His name is already established in that as well.

I'd much rather people associate Save Me with hardcore, rather than UNS UNS UNS UNS UNS. :)
If Styles can do what he's doing and go commercial...all the more power to him. Hell, maybe he'll get popular enough to headline a North American Tour... that'd be awesome.

Styles has the right to do whatever he wants with music now. He has been in the scene long enough.
Its the same deal with DJ Rap, she started out with old skool and now she does house. She paid her dues to drum n bass, she can do whatever she wants now.

Agreed!
Honestly... hats off the the guy! (and THATS coming from ME!!!!)
Atleast its HARDCORE his pushing!
Even if it is crappy vocal UK Hardcore! I couldn't vcare less!
How many "chavs" *cough* are gonna listen to that on the radio and go "yeah man, sick one!" (not alot!)
On the other hand... How many "Genuine" FINEEEEEE females will listen to it and then mabie wanna find out more! pop down to a rave (and meet the one and only - me )
OHHHH YEAHHHHH! ^^^^^^
Then mabie after a year! get bored of the UK sound (as we all do sonner or later!), but by now are too used to the fast paste sound to go back to soft beats, so they venture into the deeper side of breakbeat and freeform hardcore
ect ect... it all adds up guys lets try not to forget how most of us on this board got into hardcore in he first place! ay

big reason why alot of us luv hardcore is coz it different, n it winds us all up how every1 is going to be into in a few years time and our tastes wont be unique no more.
Im sure we'll just all emigrate to a new genre when the time suits
