went to an uprisin in sheffield....mc's (Barr a very select few...) are utterly annoying!!!
You don't need an MC to create an atmosphere in Hardcore...

Personally I don't think that an MC is needed to create an atmosphere, I think that's already there, but I do think that an MC does a good job at creating a focal point, without one the hardcore just becomes background music, atleast to someone who isn't used to it anyway. Without an MC I think you'd end up with the typical club scene which I loathe...

Then it would be even harder for people to break into the scene (god i hate using that term)

MC's are there to hype up the crowd more. Amd not be ignorant idiots! I aint ever been to a rave. but my dads tells m e all sorts. i liste to the tape packs n prefere the MC's on it. tbh. I get bord with the long intrumentals!

I much prefer MC's, it's what seperates a rave from any other commercial event in my opinion :)

I dont think really anyone can say Storm is shit...and the other mc's. He gets up there night after night, at the massive raves, and the small ones. He been there along time, cleary must be doing something right. His lyrics are good (bear in mind he been mcing for years so in order to challange his lyrics u would have to listen to alot of tapes, from a long way back)
I really doin think anyone has the right 2 slag him off...
