"Rainbow in the Sky" and "Luv You More" both came out in the early 90's. Those are both ooooooold tunes. Most Dutch Hardcore now is all gabber.

paul made darker stuff back in the 90s aswell.

holland had a complete backlash against 'happy' hardcore due to lots of people cashing in on it, making some horrible tunes and going commercial.

indeed, it was considered sell-out music. everybody wanted to cash in on it and the ppl who happened to be good at both styles where kinda forced to pick sides by the end of the 90's. Paul chose gabber, happycore died around here and paul could still produce (although his newskool work is vastly inferior to his old gabber trax)
