MCs suck, they ruin the music.
They should only be allowed introducing the DJs.

Well, to be fair, we very rarely have whistle and horn posses at Canadian events. We also very rarely have MCs in the first place (except at very large hardcore events which don't happen in my town).
At my events we have everything from trance, hardstyle, hardcore and jungle so MCs generally wouldn't fit alot of the music. The fact that I also find them incredibly annoying totally means that they are banned.
The only exception I'd make is for a single hardcore set and they wouldn't be paid because I'd rather spend the money on having better deco/sound/DJs than having an annoying MC.
I'm surprised you UK people like MCs but at the same time I don't understand how you guys have fun in an arena, packed like sardines with 10,000 other people with no room to dance (on top of being far from the DJ and not being able to see what the hell he's doing).
On one hand I'm jealous that you have such a large scene with big events and big names but on the other hand I love my intimate 300-500 person parties with variety in musical styles, room to dance and a wicked vibe.
Can you tell that I'm bored at work and am typing for the sake of doing so?

Usually, I'd agree with you. But sometimes an MC helps out a good Drum n Bass set. I've been jamming lately to a great mix of London Elektricity with MC Wrek, and so long as he stays understated, it's pretty cool.

If MC's were that annoying they wouldn't be at events at all would they? Have you considered the possibility that maybe you're one of the minority of people that finds them so annoying and maybe they actually make events better?
