I'll wish you luck, me and another 6 people are off to Watford this new years eve to club Destiny to see Baby D and generally have a good laugh. I booked the hotel about 3 weeks ago and I'm so glad I did, had a few people want to join us and every hotel on new years eve seems to be fully booked.
You're best bet is to try a premier travel lodge price-wise, but they'll only have the 2 people per room. You'll need to find a holiday house/bed & breakfast for the big rooms.
