hey just a quick Q's is a vauxhall a holden?
cause iv played need for speed and it seems lyk the vauxhall cars are very much and named as the holden.
never knew holden was like a global company though it was just international
holden is owned by GM, which also makes vauxhall/buick/pontiac.
basically its a cheap way of bringing in new models. To develop a new model from scratch it costs millions. To convert an existing model (put new badges on it, etc) costs bugger all compared.
Holden monaro = vauxhall monaro, pontiac GTO
holden tigra = vauxhall tigra
holden calais = chevvy calais (in parts of the middle east)
NEW holden barina = daewoo
OLD holden barina = vauxhall corsa
the list goes on my friend, all in the name of cost cutting. I think holden's also designed/is designing GM's new rear wheel drive platform for cars (the zeta platform)... not sure whats happened with that, there was talk a few months ago
oh k thanks duff so im guessing MG is a not and aussi company? ha and all the holden fan goes on about how holden is and aussi car lol

the radio should be a straight swap cause ur corsa should have ISO connectors. ur best not having 6x9's in the back, ud be better with some component speakers up front.
http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb is a good forum for help and advice you should join up there
I made that post, very good help indeed! And i agree about the 6x9's i still have mine in the box, it just noise in ma m8s cars that have both, not good! Just stick the sub in and get some better door speakers, i just have the standard 1's and i have an astra m8, very good quality! Your headunit will boost it up some aswell! You driving now?
well i got my test 2moz but bought that yesterday, right so dont bother wit the 6x9 n jst get the sub with better door speakers sorted, cheers every1 i was literally jst about to go to halfords to get the 6 x 9, will have a luk on that forum ^^

Sub on the parcel shelf?
Wires on the floor!?!?
Are you mad??
Glad to see people on here know the score on 6x9's. Rubbish speakers. Why do so many people think that they're what you should be buying!
I've replaced the standard speakers in my car with some 3 way JL audios in the front (which I've amped), 3 way Pioneers in the back, kept the tweeters that come in the door of the car (I can't seem to find a better replacement :(), put a 15" sub in the boot and it sounds sooo much better that all the lappers systems round here :).

it will sound even better if you take the speakers out of the back too so ive been told..
apparently if you have speakers in the front and back it drags the audio field back and makes it sound worse
i bet that 15" sub kicks out some bass

Yes, it kicks out some serious sound :).
I can't hear any difference in the front with or without the back speakers but it def' sounds better in the back...
The fronts are 6", amped and I have extra tweeters in the door so they greatly overpower the sound from the the un-amped, 3.75" back speakers. If you disconnect the back speakers and sit in the back it seems to lack the top end you get in the front.
Aren't I nice thinking of my passengers like that.
You are right though it's a bad idea to have big, powerful, mid-high producing speakers in the back... I find a pair of small high quality speakers don't harm the sound in the front though.

Aye, it's just to give it that little boost where it needs it :).
I was gonna get a van but decided against it as it's easier to drag my mates out raving if I have a car to stuff 'em in. Might be getting a cheap van as well now though as we have no transport for our rigg at the moment :( Our last van bit the dust and even if we wanted to we couldn't fit our bigger speakers in our cars. Just gonna try and find something cheep and cheerful.
Good luck with the test BTW Cun'.

It's not hard to install, just need to know what goes where, it's usually obvious, you might have to solder, crimp a few wires but not a major deal.

I used to have a massive system in my car about 8 years ago, custom subbox with 4 x 12" subs two ported, two free air in the boot (I had a hatch back), 2 x 10 inch mid range, 2 x 8 inch in the doors with tweaters floated on the top... two amps, 2 x 4x400watt at 4ohmz.
When we built it we took everything out of the car, tared (yeah the black stuff) all the interer of the car, lay down foam and rubber so nothing rattled... when finished we pushed 128db in a few competitions, this was 8 years ago when anything over 120db was massive.... now comp cars push 160-170db...

Sounds like a phat system. Bit too much IMO though ;) Want to keep my hearing.
Nice one Cunney, well done mate.
