I know this is a bold statement but I do think I have something different to offer, which (as far as I am aware) nobody else is doing. It’s called “The MCless DJ!’.
Basically, I have collected a number of acappellas (mainly rap vocals) and hardcore samples, which I can mix in during my sets (on the third deck) to give the effect of a live set. I have looped and edited some samples so I can have a bar of rapping then I can do a bar of scratching (kinda like Sy and Storm do). Here is my first offering:
http://www.jamesdub.co.uk/tunes/James_Dub_Jan_07_Hardcore_Demo.mp3 *unlicensed tracklist removed* PM me if you would like a CD mailed to you. I also have a list of benefits that I can offer you if you were thinking of booking me, again PM me for details. I hope people don’t think I am being big headed here, I am just very excited about this new technique! Thanks for looking. James Dub.

Pretty cool! I really like it...
Great idea, scratching is awesome, and the amount of samples you use...is...like...wow.
Awesome!
P.S. can you PM me a tracklist?! I love this! o_0
If I was a promoter, I'd book your right away ;)

very much like the mix
you should check out the nice guys mixes(http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=3856256), they do a very similar thing, although they have a much larger focus on the rap samples than you do. either way might help to build your idea further :) edit: think i figured out what was making it sound a bit odd, for the most part, it seems the vocal samples are just a bit dull and don't have much energy to them. just doesn't sit right with the tunes to me. but like i said before it's still great, and the tracklist is wicked ;)

Yeah this is a wickid idea, i think with some work it can be realy succesfull.. maby a better cut and past with the Accapellas and maby not such a long intro.
Tho this seems wickid various Hip Hop DJs have dont the hole 3 - 4 Deck set allowing various forms of cut and pasting like DJ-Yoda and Green Peace this works well with Hiphop due to the high consentration of Vocals and the various but ample amount of Vocals from specific people i.e Dre, Eminem, Snoop and others. I think the idea is rocking as i said but i think this would take off well if there wasn't such a mix of different vocals and poorly dubed over, With work this can be great keep it up mate.

Yeah i find most DJ's now just 'wing it' and play what ever they grab out of the V box, not my style i pick and pre mix all of my sets wether its DnB so i can get the timing right with the crowd.. like if im doing a blood pumping crazy uplifting set i will prick alogn the lines of ASA & A1 Trance overload (top tune to me at the mo) K Complex - Adagio ect...
Gotta' get it right for the time i say.

hmm not sure i agree with premixing a set before u play it live.
aint that the whole point of a live DJ is that they can adjust the set according to the crowds reaction.
just my opinion like.
