I'm surprised that there are so few who like oldskool hardcore :D
but then again, many on the boards nowadays are too young to remember what the scene was like some 12 years ago :)

Nah mate loadsa people love it the way it is, same as loadsa people love pop music and scouse house or whatever.
All a lotta pish to me anyway, gimme some old dutch hardcore, breakbeat style or some drum n bass anyday. Every time i've stepped in a uk hardcore room it's embarrasing how shit, tame and above all queer the musics gone.
Best thing i did was stopped paying attention to it, each to there own but it baffles me how people can enjoy it
I agree with that. in the last year i have probably purchased 5 records that would probably be classed as uk hardcore at the most.
I still enjoy some of it. It seems to be getting less and less.

I'm trying not to come across as a hater!! ; P
I love the Old Skool Hardcore and how in the early 90's it developed into the early Drum & Bass and Hardcore scenes. It used to be amazing when Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, United Dance used to have both types of Hardcore in the main arenas. Most people used to be up for both but now they seem to be so divorced from each other its difficult to think that they came from the same place. I went the Drum & Bass route and lost interest in Happy Hardcore over the years and to be honest I've heard very little new hardcore thats interested me.
But hey it seems to be popular and caters for a different crowd these days so fair enough and long may it continue.
For me Breakbeats, Basslines (proper not offbeat stabs), cheeky samples & uplifting Vocals/melodies is the winning formula for me. As Happy Hardcore no longer contains all of those I'll stick to tunes that do (i.e. hardcore breaks & the stuff Kniteforce records produces).
Cheers,
Fluff

See your point i love bits of loadsa kindsa music mainly bouncy techno, hardcore techno, speedcore, old breakbeat stuff, dnb, jungle, various rock, punk, metal and that over years, northern soul, aphex twin could be here all day if i went through it.
Used to love uk hardcore a few years ago and attended shitloads of raves, jus things changed and i dont enjoy how they changed. I no some idiot on a website complaining aint gonna change anything just replying to a thread with my honest opinion.
Feel free to slate any music i thinks immense it wont bother me jus an opinion, would be borin if everyone loved the same stuff.

Thus prooving your a complete *******.
Modern Hardcore is the Present and the Future, cant bring back old school otherwise it's no longer 'Old' school cant realy abolish modern Hardcore because to many people have grown up with it... so my suggestion is to quite ur bitching live the f*ck on and get over it.
