I sold out to DnB awhile back, I don't buy Drum n' Bass records but I have all these CDs and I'm like I gotta do what's popular, I'm slowly coming back but, as for Real Hardcore, I'm BS... Sorry to all the HTID kids out there...., hopefully I will be as strong in the Hardcore scene as I used to be!, you know my town, doesn't approve but I'm out to get them!, I'll kill myself for being a wannabe!, I mean I'm new to the scene but sad because Hardcore events come few and far between, If you catch me at a show, I totally apologize, Underground Hardcore for life!!!!!, my styles, anything but fn gabber/Hard Style!, You know I thought everyone was going pop, and I was confused, but yeah I'm back!, sorry to Nikkie too, if you're out there... myspace me, if you want to.......;), I know I don't know UK, If you check my posts, I'm a loser....:(

As long as we are in the confessions mood...
The spirit of the music isnt about taking sides or "selling out" to a certain crowd, we do this to be released from the aguish and constant worries of uncertainties of life. The more you bring in these politics like "the wannabies" and "the true HTID", the more it feels like we are holding back our own happiness.
Ive seen my soCal hardcore metal go down the same path, which is why i left. It wasn't about the music anymore, people were more concerned with the image and reputation.
Why all the constant bashing and slag matches over who produces what and what era the music was better in or who the hell produces crybaby singalong anthems. I will always love the music I choose to love and if someone gets the same feeling listening to a pop song I'll be just as happy.
Hardcore is falling more and more into that void, like almost all other genres of music have gone, where everyone will start hating eachother and we will all soon go our different ways.... But not before pulling apart our scene and creating offshoot genres who want to claim their own. The evolution of music is fine and all but we need to accept eachother's differences and come BACK together as a scene.
It's the listeners who make the scene, not just the producers.
Although I don't know how far along the UK scene has progressed, here it's still in the "nurture" state, as when I was into hardcore metal. I don't want to see this scene go down the same path, and the word "sellouts" is already the first step to us splitting apart.
so anywho...
Righteous there no shame in moving to different music, you cant listen to one genre your whole life :P
After a while the same thing gets boring, its fact. I may listen to hardcore mostly but I think DnB is damn amazing. I've heard DnB tunes that surpass hardcore, mostly i think because the feeling i get from the DnB rythm is much different from hardcore.
Don't sell yourself short, be open minded and take in what music has to offer, be it hardcore or not :)

I too have seen the error of my ways, I turned my back on hardcore for the bright dazzling lights that are Michael Crawford and Gerrie Halliwell.
I'm back on the straight and narrow, now. The Marvellous 175bpm dance music they call hardcore, is for me

I had at one point many years ago, heart of gold as my ring tone. It was for much longer than a week.
