I wonder how long it will take until everyone has one (or more) of them?

I saw a bunch of demos of these on the vintage synth forums a few months ago. Turns out, the whole project is open source. All the files are readily availible on their website, and the specific shapes that trigger the sounds/effects are there too. All you need is the ability to set up the program and a webcam. If you can get a table with a transparent surface and something to correctly mount the webcam, you can make one for yourself. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'm planning on starting one up as a project.

Nice research. If you do get around to it, report back and tell us how it goes!

I'll definitely get back to you one I get something like it up and running. (Only problem is, I think it only runs on linux, and my parents would have me shot if I installed linux on this computer.)

What about using a small partition of your drive to install linux, and then having a dual boot system?
