Can anyone identify the operatic samples from this track as it appears on Hardcore Heaven 3? I'd love to find out more about it, but I can't seem to find anything. One thing I haven't searched yet is for the vocals from the beginning... Maybe that will lead to a clue. Post if you find anything, and I'll do the same.

The vocals are from Scarface, spoken by Tony Montana... Anyone here seen Scarface? I haven't yet... Maybe the samples are from that?

The samples were used at least in Battle Royale, Japanese tend to often use classical tracks from famous composers in their movies, so its very likely it wasnt made for that movie. But i do believe thats were Speedfreak got it from, seeing as he does lot of stuff with the Japanese Hardcore producers and the movie was very popular and very highly rated. If you havent seen it, you really should go buy it now. Its one of the best movies i've seen.

It was also used in the movies trailer: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y-T7yPJVvXw

I'm almost certain it's from a peice of classical music but I don't know what it's called, it's been used all over the place I believe...

Good call, you're right. Even in the trailer you can hear the sample he pulled.

There's the soundtrack from the film at Amazon, for those of you in the US. I'll see if I can identify exactly which track is the one sampled in Days of Anger.

P.S. (O.T.)
The track "Make 'em Die Slowly" on The Speed Freak's "Disinformation Overload" samples Sephiroth's theme from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children :3

Found it! It's called Dies Irae and is attributed to Mozart, however the version used in Days of Anger as well as Battle Royale is Giuseppe Verdi's version, which can be found here.

Thanks whispering for putting me on the right track :3
