Whoever said Marc Smiths not good at mixing needs there head seen to, he can chop up amazing.

Kinda agree with Loz about Brisk talentwise from uk lot, Kev Energys really good but i'm not that keen on his sets and i used to like Sy but got bored of the style a while ago

Between Sy and Energy, I would go for Kev. He was excellent in Aberystwyth, where as Sy in Bournemouth just had a bunch of kids staring at his decks for a whole hour. Energy was a bit slap dash but Sy was just a bit to scratchy. Storm does add a difference but the so did Marley to Ramos and Ratpack etc. So I will just stick to the DJ.
Have to say I agree with the Billy Bunter tip he was excellent and he smiled at me in a corridor as I stood there think F**k he does look like Billy Bunter.
Best live djs at anyone time was Sharkey and Hixxy back to back in Aber.

Ahem...*steps on soapbox*

Disco D, DJ Godfather, and DJ Assault are/were the greatest DJs ever. Because of their existence, all other comparison of DJs is meaningless, as they can be summed up as "not one of those ghettotech DJ's."

*steps off soapbox, and also stops trying to justify the existence of Detroit to the world*

I agree DJ sy is a legend but I think you nd to know your shit about djing to really appreciate what kev energy is doing. Sy is a lot more commercial & claims all round respect from ravers worldwide but kev, to the untrained ear sounds quite simple but really it's like theres 3 dj's on the stage! Kev energy is without doubt the best commercial Hardkore dj today. He's taken it to a level that most people can't reach!

You are right DJ MOLE he is very inspirational & it's sad to say but you don't get alot of dj's like that these days! Everyone just jumps on the bandwagon & does the same as the other guy! You have to giv Sy & Kev credit for standing up & revolutionising hardcore in their own personal way! Couple of GODS!!!!!!!!

my vote goes to kev.
i like just listening to his mixes, then trying to re-produce what he's done... its good for picking up lil tricks to use when just generally mixing.
would love to be able to scratch like a TRUE master, but thats where time n practise come in :)

sop basically, its energy ftw. production wise AND behind the decks!

I'm gonna definitely go w/ Kev. I like his production more, and I hate scratching outside of hip hop or ghettotech.

The single greatest genre of EDM ever (when one is in the mood for it). 909 + fat analog basses + brilliant DJ's + booty (and lots of it) @ 150 (or so) bpm. It's basically Detroit's even more over the top interpretation of Miami Bass (think 2 Live Crew if you're wondering what Miami Bass is.) go to www.blentwell.com and do a search for Disco D, and you'll see what I mean (though his extreme awesomeness in mixing is a tad on and off, but it's more than what any dance music dj does)
