Was Dutch happyhardcore and Bouncey techno bigger than the English happyhardcore in the 90's in UK? It's funny just been listening to alot of old hardcore mixtapes from Australia and made me realise that Engish hardcore was small here in the 90's compared to the the Dutch sound. Probably 70% of the hardcore music you'd here was Dutch. Even now, most people sneer at hard dance in Sydney and Melbourne, it's all hardstyle in the hardmusic clubs. Uk happy is massive at raves now, but probably only got realbig a few years ago. Most of the old hardcore produces here were more gabber influenced.

not in perth!
we're dominated by dnb & breaks here :'(
in fact, dnb is so commercial here, homeless ppl play it in the streets to try n get attention to help them sell news papers!
but hardcore is having a MASSIVE uprising! and hardstyle/hardtrance/hard house etc are still way behind.
tho i am referring to all ages gigs mind u. most big 18+ events are house & trance here.
but yeah, hardcore & dnb DOMINATE the all ages events here

man wish i lived in perth... well not really. yeh ova here in clubs its house with the occasional hardtrance. so dissapointing seeing all suae's talent go to waste on hardtrance, no tfocusing on hardcore
