When I was a boy thier was always a story going around about a guy who chased kids. On the fields of the schools, the community centre's, the local shops. You name it his name was sinominous with fear.
The name was The Purple Aki.
All through my childhood years on the Wirral (namely Eastham), we ran and hid in fear of the myth that was The Purple Aki. At the time we thought it was real, but later on as we got older we thought it was just a Freddy Krugger kind of fairy tail.
"We best run home before it gets dark or the Purple Aki will gets us!", "It's The Purple Aki, leg it!!"
Thats the kind of shit we put up with, but we never seen him...and umban Myth you think? I thought so.
Well, not so long ago my bro sent me a pic of the guy, and now to name and shame the child stalker who terrorized an entire generation merseyside kids:

Anyway pretty mad this guys real. I remember as a kid we had a story goin round about killer clowns that parked outside your school, offered you a facepaint would take you in the van and give you a chelsea smile before puttin vinegar in it.
Many a kid from round my way had stories of narrow escapes or seein them outside the school, some even claimed it was on crimewatch and they phoned into help. Every story involved a bright blue van with a picture of garfield on the side or a white van with a picture of a clown, not tryin to get caught or draw attention to themself these crazy clowns.
But aye was all a myth, but as a kid scared shit out of everyone.

I think everyone has had a "bad omen" as a kid! Ours was the 'iron man'. He used to hang about by the rivers and if you went near he was supposed to push you in! Never knew if he did or not or if he was real! This 'purple aki' thing sounds like some sort of jamaican dish or summat! Take your word for it Mortis.....

I agree with Clarke on the piss take myspace (one was a little drunk when I posted), but the monster that is "The Purple Aki" is a real man.

When I was younger the only ything that would scare us was the High School kids who were said to carry knives with them!

yeah there are some strange people around..... for a while there was some guy who would break into ppls homes and go into the kids room and tickle their feet and then leave lol.... weird & creepy....
