Having shared it with most of the neighbours, whether they wanted to hear it or not,
I still think that it's very good.
My only complaint is that the percussion (hats etc) gets lost in a high frequency 'mush', so
maybe EQ some of the top frequencies out of the synths.
Pope's point about lack of emotionality is valid but as I wasn't expecting any, I wasn't disapointed at all.

I gave it a good listen, and you've definitely made an allright track. As a matter of fact, if you raised the levels on the vocals and made them a little less choppy sounding (though I doubt that's possible in a remix contest), you could have a real hit on your hands. However, I don't think it's something with staying power or much emotionality behind it. You're clearly at a level of technical skill which is enough to be professional, but it's a bit soulless. All of your sounds I've heard used before in vocal anthem after vocal anthem. One of the sounds near the beginning I could recognize being exactly the same as one used in "I'm A Raver" by Breeze & Styles. There really wasn't anything that I could remember about it (though perhaps the average listener, who pays far more attention to vocals than I, would remember the chorus). Still, it's fun, and gives the listener a pounding beat, a big lead, and a clean, almost perfectly mixed sound, which is all an anthem needs.
(Hate to be so harsh, but I'm trying to be as fair as possible.)

I think you hit the nail on the head their Pope.
Technically, Bulby it's awesome. But there is missing some soul.
However...don't discount Bulby, he's got some tracks with energy that he's got under wraps.
EDIT:
HAHAHAHA, I just told the pope he hit the nail on the head. Sounds so weird.

Really good tune. very pro sounding. You have the bass layers and kick totally nailed there, good engineering. As a song it very much pleases me. I've never heard the original, but i'm absolutely certain that this is better :)
I don't think anything is missing; if there is then is most other new Hardcore out there :P

Yeah your completely right Pope it does lack a bit of soul and individuality. Unfortunately I'm not at a level of production where I can think of a sound and then make it just like that, I've just got to go with the flow a bit which can be very restricting. It's also supposed to have an anthem feel to it as it was for a comp.
Hopefully now that I'm getting my production much tighter I can work on getting some slightly more original and exciting material together... In fact, as Leto said I've got some underway already.

Haha cheers mate. I had cleared up the high end on the riff a bit but obviously not enough then... Cheers for the pointer will do what I can on it :).

Nice wee track bubly, it was stated about the vocals they could come up a notch and another thing I would take up is the kick.Feel it lacks a bt behind the track when it all comes together but thats just my Opinion
