Where is the love???
I'm interested to see the backlash against Darren Styles, which seems unwarranted. If Styles is securing crossover success all the power to him, it will make him more money and illustrates that talent should not be constrained by genre. Without people like Styles and Hixxy who have been and continue to be committed to the scene hardcore would not be where it is today. To all the haters, why not leave Styles alone…
Ps: New Rave what a joke..please indie muppets…all it serves to prove is the left wing bias in the media, where an NME seal of approval = pages of press coverage for said band. Would love to see Klaxons fans at a slammin event, me thinks they would be 6 days on the run in no time

I think you'll find not many on here give a shit that he is doing other stuff... In fact most seem to applaud him for making some money out of production (myself included). Why keep bringing it up though? I'm sure Darren isn't sat at home crying because a few people on the internet don't like the fact he is doing commercial stuff so why should it bother you?
What the **** is new rave (I assume you don't mean hardcore breaks) and who the **** are Klaxons :s

What a stupid post
If you think a dj or producers shit why cant you say it.
You've took the piss out the klaxons and called people into it "indie muppets", so why cant people take the piss out styles and call you uk hardcore fags.
Cant be one rule for one and one for another.

I heard some "nu-rave" and to me it just sounded like indie... nothin to do with hardcore at all I'm afraid
I'm not even gonna comment on Styles, I think his song 'Jealous' speaks for itself... what an arragont twat (shit... I wasn't gonna comment!!)
Just read this bit again from the original post:
"Without people like Styles and Hixxy who have been and continue to be committed to the scene hardcore would not be where it is today."
Exactly. Thats why people don't like them. Clubland Extreme Gaycore and the like....

Mister B pretty much summed up my feelings on this subject.
You can't make a post saying "i don't think you should all be slagging off so and so.....", then later on blast somebody else!
Opinions and debate keep things healthy, stupid know it alls (not aimed at you U1) merely make arguing much easier!
I have an opinion on pretty much everything, some of it quite possibly rather extreme in some people's eyes! But i find that qualifying it with a crafty "i think" or "in my opinion" makes things much easier!
Take this sentence for example....
"Clarke101 is a tosser"
Totally unfounded and very nasty i think you'll agree.
So i prefer to use something along the lines of.....
"I think that Clarke101 is a tosser"
There, nobody gets hurt!
:P

There are many very old sayings that if people thought about them then they
wouldn't come out with ill conceived crap....
....for example -
'The Pot calling the Kettle black'
or
'What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander'
or
'A stitch in time saves nine........' ???
....no, not that one. Ignore that last one.
So, when DMS says "I think that Clarke101 is a tosser" and declares that no one gets hurt, then....
.... ....ah....?
....oh, just forget it, I've lost the plot.

"A bird in hand....shits on your wrist"

....what with bird crap on your wrist and broken glass everywhere
maybe it would be best if most people kept their opinions,
based on little more than prejudice, ignorance, jealousy or spite....
....and probably a lot of other nastiness, that I can't think of at the moment,
to themselves?
Clarke101 might agree....
but, in my limited opinion, he's probably wrong.
Or there's always that good old Yorkshire saying -
"The whole world's queer,
except thee and me....
and thee's a bit queer."
.... yeh,
that sort of makes sense...... ......no? .............................. ZZzzzzzz

Good luck to Styles, I still like his hardcore music even if he makes other music.

Sorry that could be taken the wrong way, Style produces hardcore and some of his tunes have been made into pop tunes for the charts. I say good luck to him, I don't personally like the pop versions but thats fine because I'm not suppose to like them (they're pop music!).
