Hey Everyone!,
I came across on youtube the other day someone who is trying to get lots of ten minute video mixes from dj's uploaded for a bit of fun. Currently there are 50 responses to this video.

Anyway, I'm keen to see some of the setups and style of mixing that a lot of us use on this forum and I thought it would be fun if we could get a few more hhc mixes up!.

hmmm actually I have a camera and this might be something easy to setup, what software do you use to record if you don't mind me asking?

For that I just used a tv capture card with a svideo in. I got my camcorder and connected it to the pc via svideo. (if you have a digital camcorder all the better! just use the firewire connection which they usually use)
To record I just used Windows Movie Maker for that one. (I set the capture to record the audio from the line in source on my soundcard rather than the camcorder so the sound was decent).
If you need a more heavy duty solution I usually use Pinnacle Studio 9.
But yeah as I said, for this Windows Movie Maker does the job fine

hey dunno if you do this all the time but i have once seen you mix live on the radio i think dunno but it's lyk a live video recording, just wanted to know if you do this all the time and if u do when and wats the url of it?

I made my 10 min mix because of his video before I knew about the Dj tutor one.
Wanted something to put up on MySpace and BeBo to show ppl how its really done instead of the nasty ones that are out there at the moment.

I'm gonna record a 10 minute video mix I guess
the mixes there were interesting but I wasn't particularly impressed
Ravine was actually pretty bad mixing wise and the scratching was impressive but off beat so that's not really that great...
You guys have to hold your mixes longer - 32 beat mixes just don't cut it
and you have to EQ more - you can't have two basslines going at once
Anyhow, once I borrow a friends' video cam I'll do it - or can I do it on a webcam?

I want to see someone do a 10minute BCN mix, people saying getting through 3 or 4 tracks in 10 minutes is impressive.... balls.... Haston would get through about 20 records lol
