Does anyone else apart from me get tired of these TV charity things! You watch the clips that pull on the heart-stings for our money! and it does make you feel that you should do more, so you donate a fiver ect on the night and feel in a small kind of way that you are actuallly helping the poor little kid in Africa! makes you feel good! but a few weeks from now you'll forget all about that little kid in Africa, because you've just had you council tax bill for £1000 and you think, how the f**k I'm I going to pay that! or any other type of expense that pops up during our annual donations to the governmant!
At the same time though we are spending billions of pounds fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan for absolutley no reason at all! (apart from those Oil contracts that will soon appear in Iraq in the near future as a thankyou from the Iraqi government for all the help you've given us) I could also carry on about the billions of tons of food that goes to wast each year in those fomous EU food mountains but why bother! because Comic relief needs my fiver!

I supported the war in iraq at the time thought it was the right thing, remember been pissed off at anti war protesters when i couldnt get home from town cos they were blockin the street.

But the more things have come out and the more i've thought about it it's a lot of pish.

Loadsa worse things in the world were happening than with iraq and we dont bother with them, oil prices goin up jus pissed america off so they decided to take it. Also the history between Bushs dad and saddam cant of helped, but i do think the main reason was to take what was there.

I'm a lot less critical of americas foreign policy than most, not that i dont think a lot's wrong with it, i just think if any other country was the top dog they'd either be as bad or in a lot of cases even worse.

But aye sat round with family tonight and watched that comic relief, £90 buyin full hygienic toilets for over 200 people.

Made me think amount that i can blast on just a night out or a rave, easily done and the rest when havin a session.

Afghanistans a diff kettle of fish though, proper lawless there and not just a pissed off guy doin a carbomb or something. There troops have been heavily trained and armed by the u.s when they were against the old USSR, underground cave networks and highly skilled people who'll fight and die for there cause.

Our troops over there have an even harder job than in Iraq, infact a good lot harder cos of who there dealing with. Gettin full on attacks for breakfast and they dont even always have the necessary equipment it seems, got a lot of respect for people who can do it

Iraq is a first class **** up imo. Afghansitan has potential, but only if Pakistan lets our forces cross their border and do a proper job, all the Taliban do is come over to Afghansitan from Pakistan, have a scrap, then regroup again in Pakistan and start all over again. Best thing we could be doing is blowing the shit out of their poppy fields, sure it will screw the ecomony of Afghanistan, but if it means less smack on our streets and less funding for the Taliban I don't really give a shit.

I always have time for red nose day. As well as heart string bits they do actually make an attempt to entertain us unlike terry and Pudsey.
As to the wars bit, I agree that millions could be better spent.
