Nothing wrong with hearing it on the radio...what matters was it the Hardcore version or the shitty slowed down version?

Why what do you mean by that
I find some of the reasons why ppl hate styles are sad and besides he is the official number DJ voted by the ravers so its like only a minority who dont like styles.

The reason people dislikes Styles songs is because they suck donkey balls
Its got nothing to do with being a 'hater' and I'm not singling him out either, I hate Cascada, Flip & Fil etc. with an equal passion
There would be nothing wrong with him making shit commercial songs in order to make some money but the problem is his hardcore is just sped up versions of the shit commercial songs.
(not that I particularly care I just thought I'd explain it to people who don't seem to understand)
*edit* and by the way this "the majority like him so he must be good" argument really doesn't stand up. The "majority" got Mika (the bellend) to the top of the UK charts, and they also elected Hitler to a position of power (though I can't decide which is worse). "The majority" have a lot to answer for

Dave Tee - The reason you don't like his songs is because they're not to your taste. His music is well produced, well structured and... well... good. Some of his stuff isn't really to my taste but I would never try and claim that it's bad just because I don't like it.

Most people dont like him because atm it seems to be the 'cool' thing to do! Yeah i agree he's makin some shit slowed down music atm but over the years he has made some great Hardcore and im sure he will do once again in the future!

my gripe with styles is that the 'hardcore' he produces now, isn't hardcore - it's sped up commercial tracks! Some of them may sound good for what they are, but it's not just hardcore is it? Some of these top tier boys have turned something that was full of creativity & innovation in 02/03 after what was on it's arse pretty much through most if 2000 & 2001 & turned it into the biggest bastardisation of the term hardcore.
My gripe isn't his potential success, more power to the guy, it's just the way he and others have pushed the sound of hardcore as far away as possible from it's intended sound.

Iv been a big fan of styles since the force and styles days i used absolutly love their tunes and when he first started producing with breeze the tunes where awesome at the moment i think theyve gone downhill for me because he uses male vocals too much and quite a lot of his tunes sound the same but to say he is completly crap is unfair because a lot of his earlier stuff has had an influence on a lot of todays sounds.

the thing is DS made tracks in 95! I've never been a fan of Styles hardcore from any year, but doesn't mean people should slag the guy off! He does what he does! and at the moment is very succesful! good look to him, but its very simple, if you don't like what he does then don't listen to his music! at the end of the day he doesn't care what YOU LIKE!

I think the singling out things a good point, people make topics on a certain artist or there work then complain if people dont like it or put up a negative comment. How can you have a forum where everyone just says everythings good all the time, no discussion or different points of view.
For example yourself dave will talk about producers you like, tunes you like, dj's you like and whatever we've had a good few conversations like that on here. Then when it comes to hardcore you hate or commercial dance will say what you think of that also. Force and Styles "Your love" is a shit hot tune, but on the whole i agree. I do like happy hardcore just more the stuff with hard kicks, breakbeats and high paced vocal snips, rather than full songs of lyrics with weak kicks.

Too right cant complain at sucess he's getting, spend a good chunk of your life making tunes to see a few years of sustained sucess is an achievement. Loadsa people love his tunes so cant say anything to that.
There was a time i probably would have cared about the direction of uk hardcore, until i realised i like a lot of other music a lot more.

I really like some of Styles' stuff from 2002ish, some of the Raverbabys/Jellybabys then were really good. But I don't see why I can't dislike the music he makes now just because he made some good stuff in the past.
