I know this ain't really the place to ask but the forum i use for all com issues has a problem (ironic isn't it) but just thought i'd try my luck on here
So i have been looking to get a wireless router as i want to have my desktop, laptop and xbox 360 connected connect at the same time.
Was looking at http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1847 Now this is probably the most stupid question you will hear today, but i'm gonna ask anyway:P How is it possible for me to connect 3 things into the router if i only recieve 1 wireless usb key? can i buy extra? i know my laptop has wireless built in do i still need to use a usb key? Any advice on this wouold be greatly appreciated as i am lost when it comes to this cheers

You will need. Wireless network card for your pc and a stupidly expensive MS wireless network adaptor for your 360.
Im not sure what a wireless usb is tbh. It might be a temp wireless network card.
Wired > Wireless.
Remember to make sure its secure. As people like me might try and connect to your wireless network.

The usb key that comes with the router, i assume that it has the same function as a wireless card could be way wrong there tho
F*ck me never imagined the xbox connection to be so much, but hey if thats what it cost thats what it costs
i was thinking and as i said before i do not know much about this so maybe i am way of the mark.
could i not have it set up like.....
1. connect the router to my cable modem
2. using the usb key connect that in to my desktop
3. use the wireless connectioon on my laptop to connect to the network
4. use the xbox usb key for that

Like Clarke said, that's pretty much it.
Be sure to secure the network (password, data encryption, MAC filtering) to help prevent unwanted access.

Its basicly WLAN.
In the army they used those USB keys, i couldnt access the router with the built in WLAN in my Laptop. Though it might have been cause of security, i dont know. But you should be able to get those usb keys separatedly, too.
If i were you, id use LAN where possible. Especially with the XBOX. I never understood why everyone wants to use an inferior system, when theres not even a need for it.
