Exactly how would you go about getting bookings, who would you send your demo tape to and where would you find them etc.?

Go to events you want to play at, get to no the people running it and slip them a demo.
It's a very much who you no thing to get started, but if your extremely good as in better than 90% of who you see out then sending demos may work also

I found calling them, passing off details asking to post a demo ect, i done the same thing to a club near me Called 'Dukes' all i had to do was phone but because they didn't do many hardcore nights apart from the odd Distortion ect i called them asked them see what i could do. i run a small event in somerset and i get a tape a month so if your in the south west area hunt me down some where have a chat id be happy to have some more UK DJs at it.

As i said most smaller promoters will mainly book people they no who are regulars at there events, if your amazing then send a demo but dont be surprised if they put there mates on who bring a load of people with them everytime
