Im wondering how to get my records to sound the best they can after i bounce them into my computer. Ive made several mixes this way but im looking for a method to improve the quality. Im recording straight from my mixer into my Mbox. Any ideas??? Thanks.

not sure... maybe add tiny compression to boost the levels, eq for brighness..
usualy when i record a mix i just leave it as it is...
not that i often record a mix without something going wrong.. ie.. speakers falling over... people interupting
aw well... new mixer and needles, ill get one recorded soon

Before you record them, clean them with a vinyl brush. Then use vinyl cleaning fluid.
After you've recorded them on to your computer, download a demo of sony soundforge or adobe audition. These both have facilities to clean up the tracks.

trick is to record them as loud as possible w/o distortion to minimize signal to noise. One of the tricks I do for cleaning up vinyl mixes is to record a few seconds of just the vinyl before/after the music plays. Use something like audition to sample that as the noise profile them give it a slight reduction. You'll also want to use as short a cord as possible between your mixer and MBox.
