There to many to mention. One of my fondest would be seeing Dj Daydream play a set at Dance Nation NYE in 1997. I was amazed by the crowd reaction when he mixed "make your own kind of music" with "shooting star". Everywhere I looked people were smiling and dancing. There were these fit girls dressed like sporty spice on all the podiums and lazers going crazy. Was out at the old El Calala Blanco in Sydneys west. Memories like this, keep hardcore always close to my heart.
Also giving my brother the shits cause I would'nt get out of his room at 10pm. The reason was his room was the only place I could pick up the radio station that played hardcore.
Goin to Awakenig at the old Pitt st cinemas is another great memory. My friends were all clubbers and wanted me to go to sublime which was up the road from the rave. I started lining up for sublime then thought, **** this... when watching the bland crowd queing. So headed for the Awkening rave on my own. Seeing hot rave chicks and funky dudes in baggy pants with hardcore beats echoing off the walls made me realise why I'll always prefer raves to clubs. When I got in, nearly instanty made new friends and felt at home.

Trippin in raindance tellin my ex a cop car had drove into the hardcore room. Another time in there done some shrooms with my mate and certain rooms looked like they were movin from side to side and up and down whenever i looked at them, but all the other rooms were normal.

Walkin out the barrowlands and thinking i was at home tellin my mates my room had gone massive.

Doin a competition with jester to keep a balloon goin the longest at htid afterparty, spazzin out and thinking his hat was going up and down in time with the music while allsorts was happening around me. A standard uk hardcore tune seemed to be going into amazing jungle, acid techno and allsorts every few seconds changing from one to the other.

But number one has to be thunderdome in holland, went with a mate who moved to schonover near rotterdam and all his lot. Massive arenas full of the best music going, even the small arena (speedcore) was bigger than any main room over here. Ended up invited loadsa folk back to my b+b and got kicked out by the owner who smashed my stereo after i played terror cd's all night keepin him awake and i wouldnt answer the door. Mad bastard came round the next day with dogs and allsorts throwin punches at me at some random guy sleepin on my floor.

Luckily one of the boys i invited back let me stay with his family had another excellent couple of days before i went home, was nice to see the real holland a bit more than just amsterdam centre and all that. Just a weekend of madness i'll never forget, showed me what hardcores all about
