gabber is a dutch word so its possible its pronounced differently
well 1st off i thought it was "gabber" but then i heard pro djs and producers etc saying "habber"
the reason i thought of this is because a program was on last night showing how the rave scene had formed and it said "bla bla bla...gabber pronounced habber is..bla bla bla" and my mate said it isnt true lol
so i came on here to find out which 1 it is

what was the show called? and what chanel was it on? (I'll look out for it) Gabber is the Dutch word or phrase for a person who dances and listens to Gabba! (rave=raver ect) but the way the Dutch pronounce English it could sound like that!

I'm Dutch, and have studied linguistics and phonology at university, so I can't help but being tempted to explain it further. :$
It definitely isn't pronounced "habber" here. However, we do have a different pronunciation of the "G" in Dutch, which might resemble an "H" to English speakers.
It sounds, in fact, a bit like the "CH" in the Scottish word "loch" or the German word "Nacht", albeit softer. To be precise, have a look here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_phonology The "G" in "gabber" you're on about is the fricative velar [X] or [Y] in the Dutch IPA chart in the link above.

I suggest just don't act like you know and pronounce it gabber like the way it's supposed to be pronounced in your language. There's no heirarchy in music, it's all music. So if someone wants to be a prick and tell you you're wrong for using a G sound and acts like they're better for saying it "right" then tell them that you're English or whatever and you can pronounce it however you want.
