5. The Wedding - Pluto
Cheesy, gimmicky, lo fi, circus-core. And so very, very awesome.
4. Free the Brain - Energy & K Complex
Brilliant freeform, and the first hardcore song to ever make me go "wow" and end up totally slackjawed.
3. Dryad Machine - Alex Szahala
I <3 Freeform. This song truly showed me how awesome it is.
2. Out of Space - The Prodigy
Undeniably one of the most mental choons ever. It's definitely the break that makes this one, and it's the break that proves that Liam Howlett is a god.
1. Trip II The Moon - Acen
The ultimate hardcore song ever. Undoubtedly the greatest breakbeat hardcore ever produced ever. Ever. It has the break, the sample, the vocals, and a pinch of magic that makes it so perfect.

but ACEN trip II the moon part 1 is the best thing ever made ever! beats the computer, the horse drawn cart, even betters when stoneage man discovered fire! its that f**king good! I must of pissed off a few people on here when I keep champion this track! even did a thread about it a few months back, but this is perfection for me! lol! and if you disagree i'll take you on anywhere in the UK I'm that hard! (Tuesdays are good coz its my day off any other day need to check with work)

I'm sorry I've tried but i just can't do it. Been sitting here for ages now thinking my top 5 is done, then along comes another bundle of choons that i just can't leave out so i'll give it a miss. Might do a top 1000 though!!!! Ha Ha.

Geez i really hate threads like this. Not because i dont like making lists and broad statements about what's best but because i never feel like i can choose my favorites among hardcore. my list would definitely have some gammer in there though.

I understand the feeling. it's hard to cram years of hardcore love into a top 5 without feeling bad about leaving out a shitload of other superb tracks.
