thought Beckham played ok! his passing and freekicks were spot on! Owen is definately not match fit! was Lampard playing because he did f**k all for the whole game (again) Gerrard did really well in the defensive role, but Robinson is just sh*te! how long can he keep his place? think England will scrape a 1-0 wn on wednesday after watching tonight!

The first half was almost as boring as the FA cup final again the poor pitch not helping. England for most of the game looked bereft of ideas when going forward. They were well organised for most of the match when Brazil had the ball.
Smith was poor up front given his form for Man Utd towards the end of the season. Owen isn't 100% match fit nor will he be on Wednesday. Beckham did well but that was always going to happen.
Brazil lacked any really penetration going forward ill be polite and say it was down to the match being a friendly.
Daniel Alves was poor and hardly got forward. I was hoping he might show the same kind of form he has been showing for Sevilla this season and show fans of Liverpool and other teams hoping to sign him why he is probably the best attacking right back in the world at the moment .

Lampard doesn't deserve the shirt imo, but I though Robinson played quite well to be honest. As far as I'm concerned Gerrard and Lampard are the same type of player, except Gerrard is better. Neither are suited to the defensive role but Gerrard gets tasked with it because he's better at it. If it were up to me I'd have Lampard out and replace him with Hargreaves, either that or move Joe cole in the centre with Gerrard and put Downing on the left since he seems to be on form at the minute.
I can't understand Smith to be honest, seemed a bit lethargic at the best of times. If he's gonna play like that I'd rather see Defoe with Owen on Wednesday...

Piss take that Brazil fired home in the last minute of stoppage time :(
England have only beaten Brazil 4 times now or something daft like that.

He's been Real Madrids best player for a while, he hasn't played for England since the world cup. It will probably be the end of him once he movies there, I don't see how he will be able to keep to standard.
