My jaw is dropping over your track on Notorious Vinyl...

Wot Is With Us.

The Kickdrum, the melody, the synth, the...awesomeness.

You totally deserve to be resident engineer for Notorious.

EDIT...****ING EDIT:

The NuFoundation remix of Don't Be Lonely...that's too bad it's on JAL. It's brilliant.

ONE MORE EDIT:

Peak 1.1 I'm more impressed than ever. This is great stuff.

Needs more partycore/bouncy techno/breaks. Seriously, I hate to sound like a snob, but some of this stuff seriously counts as "UK Gaycore" as Chris so eloquently worded it. I practically wanted to puke when "Move Closer" came on (sorry Darwin, but damn dude, were you even trying?)

And what's with the fcuked up synth in the "Don't Be Lonely" remix? Not quantizing = fail.

Absolute, and there's nothing wrong w/ that in moderation.

The worst thing anyone hoping to have a positive effect ont the scene can do, is try to be innovative and experimental all the time. Unless you have something to appeal to the more casual raver, there is bugger all hope of luring them into the broader world of hardcore. If a "gaycore" fan hears stuff like Don't Be Lonely, Move Closer et al, they might be more willing to listen to other less typical sounding stuff by the same artist.

I grant you, this mix ends a bit more continuously cheesey than is usual, but you've got dark breaks, retro tinged breaks, Quesrt-eu sounding stuff, Freeform, Vocal stuff, Bouncy stuff, Retro Cheese and Retro freeform in a single mix here. Just coz a few of the tracks aren't to your palate, doesn't mean it isn't a noble effort.

I rest my case, y'honour ;)

CDJay

I guess that's true to a certain extent, but I think there'd be more success (although this may apply over here more than in Europe) if we tried to bring in the rock market rather than capitalize off of the pop and trance crowd. By pumping out cheesy tunes, we're only going to bring in a relatively small market of ravers. However, if there's one thing I've noticed, a lot of the bouncy techno and gabber I've shown my friends (who almost entirely only listen to rock), they respond a lot more. We've got a huge market of kids with massive amounts of energy that want something as energetic (and aggressive) as rock, and who'd be instantly turned off by all the big cheesy anthems. Maybe it's different in Europe, where things with a 4x4 beat aren't automatically "that gay techno shit", but I know around here that's the case. (And by the way, the "gaycore" thing was tongue-in-cheek and just a little bit of a slam at Chris B. Mean't no harm by it.)

True. I forgot to mention how much I loved the breaks and bouncy stuff, and how they were some of the best recent tunes I've heard. A belated big ups for that.

Quality :)

I was expecting to cry about Don't Be Lonely being remixed but NF has done a good job.
