where does everyone feel its going? do you think it will keep its momentum, or has it reached its pinacle? do you think its changed to much (to commercial) or do you think the scene is to strong to dissapear? what needs changing to make it better? what do you miss? does the underground scene affect what people listen to at the moment? what new sounds do you want?

Have your say!

i think that the commercial stuff will continue to be made, and continue to be boring, while the good producers, such as kurt, darwin, al storm, gammer, stormtrooper, arkitech, orbit1, etc, etc will continue to be amazingly awesome.

the commercial stuff will be made untill the market gets bored with it! but do you think all the names you've mentioned will stick with hardcore for ever? even if it gets less popular? they are talented but are they just HARDCORE?

ill think that it's going the exact same way as it did in Holland. The commercial artists and records will dissapear, and the people who were underground keep the music alive.

don't worrie, like we always say in Holland : Hardcore will never die :)

I like it the way it is at the moment, a good mix of different styles and artists. I would like to see a few of the more underground artists & DJ's get more exposure, other than that I think it's fine.

My guess is that hardcore is going to get less and less differentiated, until it's as much of a giant mishmash as it was in the glory days of 91-93, and there will be a giant explosion in popularity around 2009, and a near death of cheesy UK stuff around the same time as all the Hixxys and Styleses scramble to catch up to the sudden changes.

Well...you gotta have hope.

I'm fairly optimistic at the minute.

There's still a lot of shite getting chucked out left right and centre, but i see a lot of quality tunes from a lot of quality producers (old and new) either being released or on the way.

I haven't given up just yet

im feeling good about the direction it's heading. Im just only beginning to establish my fan-base for hardcore. They've never heard it, but they wanna hear more. The fun's just getting started.

iv always listened to hardcore.

i love it as it used to be & still love it just as much today!

yeah it has changed & no doubt will again, but as music changes,so does our taste in music.

some changes some of us will like, others, not so much but i think it will always be around in whatever shape or form.

I think hardcore has a bright future. As technology advances the music is gonna get more amazing. And with all the aspiring producers there will be plenty of new talent and fresh ideas to keep it interesting. I just wish it were more commercially popular stateside, I'd like to one day see hardcore become the world's most dominant genre of techno musics.

If hardcore dies, its not going to be any time soon. Hardcore is the biggest that ive ever seen it, and the bigger it gets, the harder its going to be for it to die.

Its just going to get bigger and bigger, theres not stopping it. Especially with the new introduction of young blood its going to keep hardcore going for a while.

hardcore has a great future but to be honest i think freeform will be the one prevailing sub-genre and is the one type of hardcore i see surviving as it changes so much!! the last 3 years it has morphed into pure amazing and i hope it will carry on to do so:). id love to see hardcore go to 200bpm though that would be a nice change it think..
