Theres a lot of missing kids, but if you see her, you would make the connection, you would remember that shes missing. So after seeing a "missing ad" on eurosport, thought i would post this here.
Madeleine McCann was born 4 years ago. She lives with her family in Rothley, Leicestershire. She was abducted from Praia Da Luz, Portugal on 03/05/07.

Her eyes:

This may come across as being unfair, that is not my intention. I just what to try and put this into some kind of prospective.
The media coverage in the UK has been completely over the top
1000's of children will have gone missing since she has been taken. What makes her so special?
The parents created the window of opportunity for her to be taken by leaving their 3 children ,who were all under the age 4 while they went and had dinner. Would they have done that at home? I hope not, so why do it on holiday?
Please bring her back. So this madness can end.

That is very true, the reason why i posted it was because theres a good chance someone could identify her. In many cases, to me, i couldnt make the connection. But in this case if someone would have seen her, the eye makes it almoust impossible to be anyone else then her ...and thats what makes her special.
...about the parents leaving her, i dont know if thats a common thing or not. I know i wouldnt have, especially in a foreign country. Probably someone with kids could say if thats a common thing or not.
Anyway, if anyone has a few minutes, theres a list of recently missing children (also by countrie) on Interpol's site, 'cause... you never know http://www.interpol.int/Public/Children/Missing/Search/Recent.asp

I have heard it on the news here in Australia.
Unfortunely, I think she is gone :(
Her body could be upto 15 miles from the location where she was abducted. thats the latest ive heard but hopefully she is alive.

Two more things.
Years ago(15 i think) there was a small boy called Ben (iirc) that was taken when on holiday with his parents in Greece. Same as Madeleine, blond hair, blue eyes born in the UK. He is still missing to this day.
There is a boy in the UK that has been missing since January. He is of African or Afro-Caribbean decent. No coverage at all on the BBC until someone complained 2 weeks ago or so that they(The bbc) were spending all this time covering Madeleine but had not mentioned this child once. BBC as far as I know did one story on him and have dropped him again.

BBC says "Officers said the line of inquiry had now been "discarded"."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6755587.stm Anyway, i think theres either 2 things that might have happened, the parents lied and the doors werent locked, so she left by herself. Or she was abducted... or both. Human trafficing isnt that rare in Europe, and slavery still exists. Mainly people from east Europe being sold to west Europe. Usually why children might be abducted is pretty damn cruel, which could be illegal adoption, forced labour, prostitution, pornography, organ removal or use as child soldiers. Or she could have been a victime of a serial killer. clarke101, Yea its the same thing everywhere. Here a 14 year old girl was killed some years back, due to her looks it had massive news coverage. Tabloids doing it, isnt anything new. But BBC shouldnt do that.

They reckon that she may have been taken to Africa.
I hope they do eventually find her, and hopefully not in the worst way.
I know a lot of kiddies go missing and being a father myself i feel very strongly about this nightmare happening to any parents.
If they catch up with the peeps who have taken her they should cut their f**kin' hands off

Not commenting on the other half, but AFAIK they are doing those "publicity stunts" to keep the story on the news as long as they can, which ultimately helps their case on finding their daughter.

I don't agree with the amount of media coverage she is getting. I can't however blame the parents for wanting to keep her in the spotlight.
If people want to donate money or their private jets to the cause then thats their choice. I personally wouldn't but again thats my choice.

Wow, Europe is still going on about this girl?
There's not a snowball's chance in hell she's still alive, especially after all that coverage.
Just give it a rest and admit it's something shitty that happened to someone else, and keep your kids supervised.
