I tell yea, there are so many old HHC gems out there but Crikey, what a price . Here's a few on my list on aquiring which i proably will never aquire becasue of the price ive found them for.

1. Critical Mass - happy Generation 12"

I've never seen this go for anything less than 100 euro's ( very good condition + )
I mean, it's a great tuine, but c'mon !!

2. (this is proably the major one) Habegale - Want your mind 12"

This track has the wonderfull Alt mix 2 that everyone loves from hixxy's live at dreamscape 28 set in 1998, it's the opening track. the cd edition has 3 mixes of this song but none are that alt mix 2 ( B1 side ) which is only on the 12" from Dance Factory Italy released in 96. There is a remix of this incredible tune on Skippin tacks by dj Skippy which is good but not great. Anyway, this particular title ive never seen go for any less than 380 GBP and ive only seen two copis for sale ever in my life . WTF the lyrics are in case you don't know this track is

I want your mind
To change my life
So you can love me, love me, love me
'cause I need you, need you, need you ......

anyway, two examples of way expensive tunes... God i want that Habegale track !!

You'll not get Habegale mate, (well you might but you'll be very lucky if you do )

There was one on ebay a while back and it only went for 40 odd pound.... I forgot to bid unfortunatley lol

One tune I'm after with no luck whatsoever is Hard Bit - Violencia. If any1 has this or knows where I could get it let me know haha

A friend in Canada has it? I'm surprised a copy made it to Canada. It's always strange where tunes turn up, I know a few people who've got some of the rarest Italian stuff from Russia and Rio de Janero

Is your friend a kickboxer by any chance?

And on the rareness thing, I was told (I don't know if this is true but it would certainly explain why some Italian tracks are so rare) that back in the 90's after they had pressed a batch of records they would leave them in the shops for a set period of time and after that had elapsed they would recall all unsold stock, melt the plastic and reuse it for the next release!! Like I say, I don't know if this is true or even possible lol

no, he's not a kick boxxer, lol, yea, your right, rare tracks turn up in the strangest places. wow, i wonder if your right about that melting of LPs.. i hope it's not true,m but it would give an explanation. however, i wonder if they would do it not forseeing futrue rarity of tracks... seems a little stranghe, but who knows, stranger things have happened. but i'm intrigues to find out more about that

Ok, its just there's a Canadian kickboxer who posts on another forum I go on and he seems to have every Italian tune ever made!!

The melting thing does seem a bit strange, surely it would make more sense from a money point of view to just leave them in the shop until they did sell but I was told about it from someone who knows a lot about the Italian scene so it could well be true!
