Me & a couple of friends are thinking putting on a party at a local club for a load of us in my area & was wondering if anyone has any good advice on how to make things run smoothly? The venue would hold about 100 - 150 people so any tips would be helpful. Should we decide who shall DJ / MC before hand to save arguements? Should we have people on the door for security? How should invitations be arranged? ETC ETC.

If it's going to be invite only then security is a must to avoid any old Tom, Dick or Harry getting in.

Line up should be decided in advance to avoid confusion/trouble, nothing worse than loads of people turning up all wanting a set.

Make sure somebody reliable is in charge of the equipment (if you're using your own set up).
If you're using the clubs own gear, make sure you know what you'll have available, and check everything works beforehand.
