I'm looking for something for personal use (we already have a big mixer for parties). Just needs to take two decks and two CD'Js.

I was looking at the Ecler Nuo2. Has anyone ever used one of these mixers or any mixer by Ecler? I have never used any equipment from this company so have no idea what they're like...

I basically want a nice sturdy small mixer with a decent crossfader that wont start leaking 6 months down the line. Couldn't give a toss about effects etc but I do like to have a cue pan.

Budget is £200 - £300. Obviously the less I can get away with the better but I would rather pay a bit more and have something that is decent and will last! I guess I would go over £300 but would rather not if I can get away with it.

Cheersly.

Ive got a nuo 3. Purchased October 05

The faders are still as good as when bought it. When the Faders go (as long as the nou 2 can use them) upgrade to the Eternal fader which is guaranteed for 5 million pases iirc.

Excellent. Cheers mate, just the answer I was hoping for :). If it can't take the fader upgrade I may well look at the #3.

Someone has suggested I consider this...

http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR195987

What's peoples thoughts on that? Again, a company I'm not familiar with.

Doesn't have a records channel... Can a booth be used in the same way and will it give as good a result.

i couldnt comment on the mixer itself, but for recording using the booth, that will be fine as long as you set the level just right and dont move it

OK cheers mate. Wonder why it has no record channel... Bit gay.

Think I'll prob go for an Ecler anyway. Everyone who has one seems to have nothing but good things to say and this other one is a bit oversized for what I need it for.

I've got a Nuo 5 and it's great

big EQ knobs

I'd recommend it...effects are kinda "meh" and there's a few things I don't like about it but overall it's solid

and made in Spain, not China ;)

Cheers guys :) Have ended up going with a Urei 1601E as it seemed to fit me best. Tough call though, loved the Ecler too!
