What do you want done to Hardcore? I get tired of reading "Hardcore needs to change", well, what is it about Hardcore you want to change? Personally, I like where it's at now, but there are some tracks that are just too stale or pop-sounding with the plain vocals. I want to hear more stuff done with the vocals, like in "Take Me Away" by Storm & Euphony, and "Love The Way" by Storm. Pitch the vocals back up, some tracks sound plain/stale with just regular vocal pitch. There's my imput on what I want to see more of in Hardcore, maybe some more agressive beats and happy melodies. Ya, I want to sound like the old stuff, will it, no, but adding some older styles into the new stuff might pick Hardcore up out of this "rut" everyone keeps complaining about.

I think it needs a bit more variation. They should give a load of the old happy choons from 95-97 a refresh. That way you will find a lot of the old skool listeners returning. I know a lot of people who used to love hardcore, who say it's to trancey now so therefore dont listen to it anymore. Don't get me wrong i love where the scene is now, but i think in a new fresh way it should return to the more happy, cheesy style with a nice hard kick which got so many people into it. Bring back the White Glove era!!

I want all of the old guard to fade away. Dougal, Hixxy, Slipmatt, Scott Brown, all of them, just to give it up. The scene won't progress until there aren't people hanging on to anything. Right now we have Darwin, Gammer, and the other newer artists looking to push hardcore forward, but even they are still kind of stuck in the old UK Hardcore cliches. We need a new scene with new producers willing to do anything.

I want all producers to stop using that horrid trance synth that no trance producer in their right mind would even think about using. It's not like there's a shortage of trance sounds so why they all insist on using the same ridiculous one is beyond me.
Plus, less gay vocals.
More breakbeats rinsed over the top of a kickdrum... oldskool style
and more ravey stabs.
Oh, and less time spent on making the tracks sound so clean and polished, I prefer them to sound a bit rough lol

just some bouncey chirpyness is all I ask. Ya, I love that rough sound. I think they need to lay off the synths, it makes the tracks sound so bogged down.

Meh, don't worry about bringing things back or giving things up.
Simply move forward. Naturally, the genre will grow into chaos.
Here's an example of a track that epitomizes the newer breed of hardcore:
In Kontrol - Nu Foundation
Reminds me of Afro Beat mixed with Bouncy Techno. Love it.

more tracks with melodies like chemicals in motion, the ones that make no sence.
also a harder kick and rolling snares spread through the beat
itl blow us away and hopefully blow the loom of commercialisation away while its there.

think the problem of UK hardcore these days is eveyone is trying to make the "perfect" commercial tune! and the people in America are into this shite! Last year Gammer had a piss about and did **** the rails, and a lot of people thought it was different or original or stupid ect! but Hardcore 91-92 was exactly that! the tracks would just change from one thing to another, 30 secs of this, then 30 secs of that, then lets try this and then try something else, and it was the same for most tracks! You never knew what was coming next! back to 2007 and Hardcore with vocals is like the death of the the music I've always loved! f**kin hate it! ITS NOT HARDCORE!
